Innovatek is inviting expressions of interest from technology developers, researchers, forest managers and equipment suppliers interested in presenting at  ForestTECH 2027, Australasia’s leading forestry technology conference. The event series is running  9-10 March 2027 in Brisbane, Australia, and  16-17 March 2027 in Rotorua, New Zealand.

Now entering its 20th year, ForestTECH continues to bring together forestry professionals from across New Zealand, Australia and overseas to explore the latest advances in forest inventory, remote sensing, data capture, AI, automation, mechanised silviculture and digital forest management.

Planning for the 2027 programme is now underway, and we’re seeking an expressions of interest from organisations and individuals developing practical technologies, innovative applications and operational case studies that are delivering measurable improvements across the forestry sector.

As with previous events, the conference programme will feature international and local experts sharing the latest developments in:
  • Remote sensing, LiDAR and satellite technologies
  • Drone and UAV applications
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Forest inventory and resource assessment
  • GIS, mapping and spatial data
  • Mechanised establishment and silviculture
  • Digital forestry platforms and decision-support systems
  • Automation, robotics and autonomous operations
  • Forest health monitoring and environmental technologies
  • Real-world operational case studies demonstrating measurable outcomes
ForestTECH has built its reputation by showcasing technologies that are already making a difference in commercial forestry. Presentations are selected to provide delegates with practical insights, independent research, operational experience and lessons that can be applied across the industry.

While the programme is still being developed, expressions of interest are encouraged, particularly from organisations introducing new technologies, innovative research or successful operational implementations relevant to forest managers and forestry professionals throughout Australasia.

The ForestTECH audience includes forest owners and managers, inventory foresters, GIS and remote sensing specialists, silviculture managers, consultants, researchers, technology providers and government agencies involved in managing forest resources.

If you have a technology, project or operational experience that would benefit the wider forestry sector, we’d welcome hearing from you.
