NSW Forests partially closed after bushfiresFriday 2 Feb 2024
The damage is a potential safety risk to visitors. Forestry Corporation staff are currently assessing burnt areas to ensure that roads and fire trails are safe for the public. Burnt and damaged trees may pose a significant safety risk due to falling, particularly after heavy rainfall or in high winds. Once a comprehensive assessment of all forest roads, fire trails and adjacent tree-lined areas and any remedial works carried out, Forestry Corporation will look to reopen the affected areas.
