Victorian bushfire update from HVP PlantationsFriday 16 Jan 2026
Our fire teams continue to work alongside the CFA and Forest Fire Management Victoria to manage several fires across the state. As always, the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members and contractors remains our highest priority. At this stage, HVP estimates plantation damage to be in excess of 10,000 hectares, with the full extent of the impact still being assessed. It is early days in what will be a long and complex recovery process. We recognise the profound grief and loss many are experiencing, and we stand with all affected communities during this difficult time. HVP acknowledges and thanks everyone supporting the response effort, including our staff and contractors, emergency agencies, our customers, other forest growers, volunteers, neighbours and surrounding communities.
